We spent four blissful nights at the Blue Door Inn and wished we could have stayed longer. Jamie and Darren are excellent hosts and knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. The breakfast baskets were inventive and filling, so much fun to dig into each morning. Every afternoon there is a happy hour with appetizers and lots of the excellent local wine. We enjoyed meeting and socializing with the other guests. Mendocino is lovely, and Blue Door was the sleeper hit of our trip!

Beautifully designed rooms. Simple, quiet, no loud prints or colors to disrupt your tranquility. These old homes are spectacular with the worn woods and rich finishes. The Inn Keepers Jayme and Daren artfully and deliciously welcome you into your morning with new and beautiful breakfast dishes. So not continental! There is a beautiful garden to have a cup of tea in and enjoy the ocean veiw if you choose.This will be my go to place next time I journey up the coast! Thank you Jayme and Daren for a delightful stay. This is not a bed and breakfast in an individuals home. The Inn Keepers do not live on sight. We felt like we had our privacy.
