Quiet, clean, quaint. Located close to town. Pricey for what you get though. All of the rooms seem to be old "cabins" that have been remodeled around a theme. A painted facade across the front depicts an "old timey" town front (ex: Sheriff's office, blacksmith, general store, newspaper gazette). The interior theme matches accordingly in light decor. The facilities and furnishings are dated but well taken care of. Although the cabins are grouped as 2-3 in a row, each has a private entrance. Private parking means that you won't walk far. Our room was surprisingly spacious, including a wood burning stove, roomy 4-seat table, long sofa benches, a kitchenette, and private bathroom (almost fully carpeted) with double sinks and separate shower/tub options. Running my hair dryer after a shower caused the smoke detector "low battery" alarm to chirp for about 15 minutes afterwards. The room had that ineffable "old house" smell. Since breakfast is not provided, I recommend the Mendocino Hotel Restaurant for your morning meal. Nearby and delicious with plenty of nicer/more unique menu items compared to the usual breakfast joint menus. Overall, Blackberry Inn is definitely a nice place, just rather on the expensive side for what you get.
